This kid's an idiot and ought to be grateful that he's not being prosecuted for the separate and distinct crime of "possession of a counterfeit controlled substance" a felony in the State of Florida and no doubt a crime in his home State of North Carolina:

This is an interesting snippet of information - in Florida, it is illegal to carry a firearm into a school, courthouse, or certain committee rooms in public buildings but it's perfectly legal to walk into a child care center if you have a concealed weapons permit, check out the story here: http://www.wtsp.com/news/article/231472/287/Florida-law-allows-guns-in-child-care-centers-Lawmakers-say-that-makes-no-sense

To follow up on our previous update concerning U.S. constitutional rights:
The U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, in a ruling released Tuesday, affirmed an order by a district court judge in 2010 that prevented the voter-approved state constitutional amendment from taking effect. The ruling also allows a Muslim community leader in Oklahoma City to continue his legal challenge of the law's constitutionality - http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-oklahoma-sharia-20120111,0,570388.story

What do your think of lesbian rights? More to the point, which woman ought to get custody of a shared or adopted child when the lesbian couple separates? Does it matter which woman carried the child in her womb? Should she get the child, or should custody instead go to the biological "mother," the woman whose egg was fertilized by a sperm donor, and then implanted into the womb of her partner? Which woman has greater rights to the child? Check out what the courts are saying:

Do you agree with this federal judge who showed compassion to the registered sex offenders -- especially as the law relates to teen offenders who have consensual sex with minors a few years younger than themselves, or the older fellows who freeze to death while sleeping under a bridge? http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/article/20120104/OPINION01/201040301/Ruling-seeks-clarify-sex-offender-issue?odyssey=mod%7Cnewswell%7Ctext%7CFrontpage%7Cs

Franky the drug dog's super-sensitive nose is at the heart of a question being put to the U.S. Supreme Court: Does a police K-9's sniff outside a house give officers the right to get a search warrant for illegal drugs, or is the sniff itself an unconstitutional search?

So, let me get this straight: if you're a loud mouth governor (Illinois Governor Blagojevich) and you commit a felony by essentially lying (ie, political corruption, allegedly trying to sell another seat or appointment to a political office for political favors), you go to prison for 14 years; but if you're a pro ballplayer celebrity type (famous superstar ballplayer Barry Bonds) and get convicted for the felony of perjury or lying under oath, you only get probation? What's up with that? These same clowns in the federal government -- the respective US Attorneys Offices and others within the Federal sentencing system are still trying to sell us on the notion that the United States Federal Sentencing Guidelines treat defendants very similarly and have "done away with disparity in federal sentencing." Yeah, right. Check this out: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/12/17/sports/baseball/bonds-gets-probation-and-avoids-prison.html

Bonds Gets Probation and Avoids Prison

Barry Bonds, baseball’s home run champion, avoided a prison term on Friday when he was sentenced to 30 days’ house arrest and probation for providing evasive testimony to a federal grand jury eight years ago.
