Protests and Boycotts following Zimmerman Acquittal

Lauderdale criminal defense lawyer and former prosecutor, I have been on both sides of this firearm and self defense issue for 30 years now — and I think I have experienced the mindset of the average Floridian enough to make this conclusion: Folks in Florida won’t be intimidated or bullied into capitulation, simply because of the threats and economic ‘power’ of the boycotting crowds of tourists — and the average Floridian will advise his neighbor to ‘stand your ground’¬†against this sort of bullying, just as Florida allows its citizens to ‘stand your ground’ as against other unwarranted threats and attacks. The Florida residents will stand up to this, despite these organized protests as you’ll read here:
