Posted by:

Whitey-BulgerI’m both a Massachusetts criminal defense attorney and a Florida criminal defense lawyer, so I can share this from personal experience in representing clients in both States: If he were convicted and sentenced here in Florida rather than his native Massachusetts (where they don’t allow for executions) Whitey Bulger would have no doubt received the death penalty.

Read more about the trial and conviction of James (Whitey) Bulger in the NY Times:  http://www.nytimes.com/2013/11/15/us/bulger-sentenced-to-life-in-prison.html?emc=edit_na_20131114&_r=0
